The rigid leaves of Haworthiopsis attenuata show their continuous bands of white tubercles clearly in this picture. The upper or inner surface has no or few tubercles, but the well rounded outer surface is heavily striped with an ample quota of tubercles. The tubercles are sometimes unevenly aligned.
The reddish brown colour of the end-awn of the leaf are present, although some leaf tips are dried out from harsh growing conditions. It is not known which one of the at least seven identified forms of H. attenuata this one may be (Scott, 1985).
