Image information

Description

The older, woodier stems of Viscum continuum turn brown from green and the internodes upon them lengthen considerably, compared to how close together the nodes are on young stems.

New branches grow opposite each other from the nodes of older ones, straight or curving in and slightly angled up or forward. Old branches may become double as thick as the youngest ones.

The spherical fruits have dark stigma remains dotted at their tips (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Shearing and Van Heerden, 2008; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
