Against a blue sky the yellow of these outer surfaces of Arctotis revoluta flowerhead ray florets celebrate the sunny day. These ray tips of the daisy flowerhead are not as evenly positioned as the daisy notion is usually remembered.

The inner, round-tipped involucral bracts are almost invisible against the ray bases. The green, outer ones a little down are brown-rimmed, while the lowermost ones have their long, narrow tails turned away from the flowerhead receptacle, nearly reaching down to the uppermost leaf-tips in picture.

The bract tail margins are entire and much smoother than the erratic toothing and curving of the leaf lobe margins below them. The pale velvety peduncle of the flowerhead is faintly ridged (Manning, 2007; Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist; http://pza.sanbi.org).
