Image information

Description

The leaves of the plant in picture, believed to be Scopelogena verruculata, are blue-green, maybe more so than they should be to qualify as belonging to the said species. The stems are variably reddish and not bluish green, as they apparently should be in S. verruculata.

The succulent, smooth surfaced leaves are erect and cylindrical with a hint of three-sidedness. The leaf tip has a small red area, mostly a short line that suggests deviation from cylindrical leaf shape. The leaves, curving near the base, appear to be equally paired (Smith, et al, 1998; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984).
