Image information

Description

These ground-level blue flowers occasionally seen in the grass at Mjejane are from a less known Aptosimum species, viz. Aptosimum lineare var. lineare.

The better-known Karoo species have given these plants the common name of Karoo violet. There is more on this plant in the Herbs Album (iNaturalist; JSTOR; www.zimbabweflora.co.zw).
