Description

Curio radicans, previously Senecio radicans, is a prostrate, creeping and succulent herb with many mat-forming stems. The yellowish green or reddish stems are visible when the alternate leaves are not densely clustered.

The leaves point upwards from the stems on short petioles. They are cylindrical, tapering to both ends and sometimes slightly curved like tiny bananas. There are narrow translucent windows on one side of the leaf, as well as fine veining sometimes discernible on the leaf surfaces (Wikipedia; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010).
