The flower of Halleria elliptica is red, but some may be orange or brown-red in colour. The corolla is tubular, narrow at the base, four-lobed and about 2 cm in length. The flowers are pendulous. The calyx is small with four rounded lobes as can be seen here. The peduncle is slender and pinkish. Flowering may last from spring to autumn.
The fruit is a spherical berry of nearly 1 cm in diameter. It ripens in winter (Coates Palgrave, 2002).
