The leaves of Halleria elliptica are elliptic as the name indicates. They may also sometimes be ovate as they generally are in this picture. The texture is leathery, the colour is pale green to yellowish green. The leaf tapers at both its tip and base. Leaf margins are variable; sometimes serrated, nearly entire or finely toothed. Their margins also tend to be rolled under. The leaves have petioles of about 0,5 cm (Coates Palgrave, 2002).
