Image information

Description

Nymania capensis leaves grow in fascicles upon woody node platforms on the stem in picture. The leaf surfaces look about the same above and below; the cream coloured leaf midribs clearly visible. Leaf tips are rounded, the bases taper into the petioles.

The long, red flower stalks emerge from these leaf clusters, solitary or in small groups. Flowers and leaves are hairless (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Coates Palgrave, 2002).
