Image information

Description

Green Hyaenanche globosa fruit bulge in their segments, the thin seams between lobes or segments visible. The top of the sessile fruit is flat, the blackish style remains are still erect in the centre at this stage.

The thickish leaf petioles are prominent, creamy yellow here while they are often said to be reddish. Lateral veins ascending from the midrib are clear only near the base and everything but straight.

Gnarled remains where leaf whorls have disappeared protrude on the stems (Coates Palgrave, 2002; iNaturalist).
