Description

The Freylinia tropica leaves in picture are bright green and shiny. They vary between 1 cm and 3,5 cm in length, 0,5 cm to 1 cm in width and are also variable in shape. The leaf tapers at both tip and base. Leaf petioles are from 1 cm to 4 cm long.

F. tropica is sometimes used as a hedge plant. In Zimbabwe it is known as the Nyanga hedge-plant (Coates Palgrave, 2002).
