Description

This Pharnaceum aurantium inflorescence comprises flowers in various stages of opening. There are globose, brown buds on short stalks not opening yet, half-open flowers displaying V-shaped white slits on the brown, swollen bud surfaces and longer-pedicelled open flowers flaunting anthers and stigmas over brownish ovaries (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; iNaturalist).
