Image information

Description

The soft leaves of Pentzia dentata are alternate, ascending up the stems. The leaf is wedge-shaped (cuneate), tapering to the base in a longish petiole and toothed in its upper parts.

Silvery grey to blue-grey in colour, there is a ridge of golden-yellow hairs along the upper margins of the leaves. Veins are sometimes prominent upon the faintly hairy surfaces (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; http://pza.sanbi.org).
