Image information

Description

A notable temporary colour contrast may be achieved between the upper new growth on an Elytropappus rhinocerotis shrub and the dark grey, dead foliage that may persist on the plant for a period.

When not crowded by more shrubs of its species, the bush may spread as widely as it is tall. Shrub dimensions vary between about 60 cm to 2 m (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot; Wikipedia; www.plantsinstock.co.za).
