Image information

Description

Pelargonium gibbosum has thick stems that earned it the name gouty pelargonium or arthritic pelargonium; dikbeenmalva (thick leg geranium) in Afrikaans. It is found on the west coast from Namaqualand to the Cape Peninsula, growing in sandy soil among shrubs and rocks in full sun (www.bihrmann.com).
