Description

Succession of the generations spells future for the clan. Dead and old share this patch with the vigorous and young. Families may stand together here as cattle tend to sleep near mothers and siblings when free to do so. Who knows which seeds blow where though.

The bare, rocky ground does not appear any more leaf-inspiring than in the deterioring zones of the forest elsewhere. What makes quiver trees thrive is different to the promise of a potato patch. The forest parts that work well now may seed waning places later for regeneration miracles when things are looking up. Even the lushest, dense forests on earth develop and fill clearings, a normal part of their ongoing existence.

Success comes for plants from just doing the ordinary life phases resolutely and continuously; hope does not enter here. There are no other basics or better strategies, no pep-talks from coaches are warranted or part of procedure. Or are there?

Hope makes people do the basics in adversity when strong enough or strengthened by leaders. Trees just do it, period. Or so we believe.

There may be an ingredient to life and resolve not yet understood by humans studying nature… maybe in the unfathomed, inspired sensation that arrives occasionally from spending time in silence among these guys.
