The dark leaves in foreground shade contrast against the sunny terrain. The rounded crowns along the horizon are dissimilar to the sky, therefore etched clearly against it although they are dull in colour. Their counterparts lower down upon the slope are hardly visible against the even colouring of scrub and bare ground.
Dark shades announce the dominant trees, sun-bathed in the panorama. Clusters of trees contrast with open, treeless patches as juxtaposition reveals the dissimilar features of both.
There is more detail and variety here than any brain can memorise. Nature offers enough for all. The wise takes from it sparingly and is scrumptiously satisfied.
