Description

The roots of Microcoelia exilis are presented above-ground, the plant being an epiphyte. An individual root, about 2 mm in diameter, branches and is grey to grey-green in colour with orange tips. There are also dull green stems, from 2 cm to 10 cm long and 3 mm in diameter (Pooley, 1998; www.zimbabweflora.co.zw).
