Description

This Lessertia capitata plant spreads on the ground north of Springbok, photographed in August. It bears pinnate leaves, purple flowers and flat, membranous pods.

The flowers are borne close to the ground, at least pointing up in the photo; the pendulous fruits are positioned even lower (JSTOR; iNaturalist).
