Image information

Description

The fruit capsules of Malephora lutea comprise about ten locules. Within each locule there are thin membranes at the base, dividing the area into small spaces for one or two seeds to grow. The seeds are somewhat flat and roughly textured.

Plants are easily propagated from seed. They grow in full sun without much watering (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Smith et al, 1998; Wikipedia).
