Description

This green-leaved Cylindrophyllum comptonii plant was seen at the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve in the western Little Karoo. The finger-like leaves curve in slightly, the leaf-tips here reddish with slight mucro-like unevenness at the centre top.

The petals of the pale flower are not quite straight or orderly, would have induced parental hairbrush intervention if it had been school-going (Frandsen, 2017; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Smith, et al, 1998; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
