Description

The yellow flower of Aizoon karooicum forms a cup containing a multitude of stamens. The anthers are presented just above the level of the five spreading petal lobes. These perianth lobes are fused at the base and spreading to reach a diameter of 1 cm.

Flowering happens in autumn and early winter (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot).
