Description

Phygelius capensis, the Cape fuchsia is cold-resistant as can be expected of plants growing around Rhodes. It is commonly cultivated as an ornamental plant.

Observers have remarked on the odd angles at which the flowers of this plant are sometimes positioned in the panicles. The plant has a long flowering season and some flower colour variations occur.

P. capensis belongs to the Scrophulariaceae or snapdragon family.
