Image information

Description

This pale pink-purple flowerhead of Gerbera linnaei does not present the common colour for ray florets of this species. The pinkish shade seems to be deeper on young flowerheads.

Some of the ray florets end in three small, pointed tips; others only have one (Manning, 2009; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; Kidd, 1983; iNaturalist; www.gerbera.org).
