Image information

Description

These large clusters of Helichrysum dasyanthum flowerheads have opened, showing the yellow disc florets in the centre of each flowerhead. Each bell-shaped flowerhead becomes about 4 mm long and 3 mm wide, the surrounding involucral bracts inconspicuous and straw-coloured.

The narrow leaves and white-woolly stems are visible in the photo (Manning, 2007).
