Image information

Description

The stem tops of the Euphorbia mammillaris plant growing on this ledge have recently produced several new branches simultaneously. The conditions that caused this event probably involve a good growth season after a resting period of harsh conditions. Imagine taking your vacation when times are hardest!

The eventual appearance of a mature plant includes a detailed record of the major historical events that had impacted on its fortunes. Rain, sunshine and nutrients conducive to growth will provide cosmetic corrections for hiding some markings of past hardships; the durable plants displaying the beauty of character.
