Image information

Description

Moraea polyanthos flowers succeed each other in the branched inflorescences on the erect stems, each flower lasting only about a day. Flowers open around midday and close at sunset.

All six tepal lobes spread in this species.  The corolla diameter is about 3 cm (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Moriarty, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; www.pacificbulbsociety.org).
