Image information

Description

Moraea nana usually grows two narrow leaves, somewhat grass-like, longer than the flowering stem. The lower one is longer and channelled, sometimes trailing but in picture arching far beyond the flower. Moraea leaves are without bulging midribs.

The plant in picture is doing its bit as part of the Namaqualand spring show (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; iNaturalist).
