Some gardeners would shun hybrids for planting in their home gardens, especially the unusual or 'unnatural' looking ones developed horticulturally. Their flowers and growth characteristics are, however, often carefully selected to please florists and gardeners. And there is an abundance of hybrids occurring naturally in the veld.
