Image information

Description

Flowerheads at different stages of development will typically be present on a mature Leucospermum cordifolium shrub during the flowering season, although its prolific blooming tends to convey the impression that everything is happening simultaneously.

The flowering season, although variable, tends to commence late winter and is about over by midsummer (Matthews and Carter, 1993; Manning 2007).
