Image information

Description

The Grewia occidentalis flower is quite special in the veld where it is found. So is the hand grenade shape of the bud on the left.

The inner surfaces of the five sepals have almost the same colour as the five petals above them. The calyx is dull green on the outside.

The stamens have pinkish filaments and yellow anthers. The style is green.
