The droop of lateral petals displayed by this Eulophia zeyheriana flower might thwart identification if the lip were to go unnoticed. The cylindrical spur at the back of the flower, emanating from the lip and about one third its length, is obscured in this photo. The broad white outer surfaces of the lateral petals with their purple front margins and faint division into two halves, give some clarity though.
The shiny dark sepals, although more modest in size and darker in this specimen are also characteristic (Manning, 2009; iSpot).
