Image information

Description

Young stems of Pegolettia baccaridifolia start off green, usually turning red and dark before losing their leaves and assuming a woody appearance. The woody old stems become pale grey in age, rough from irregular, somewhat vertical fissuring (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot).
