Description

Many Ixia rapunculoides flowers have only faint rings in the corolla throat, made up of spaced dots as in the photo, or faded to little evidence of such markings at all.

The cluster of stamens with the style in their midst reaches as high as the ring. Tepal colour is nearly white above the ring, yellow below it (Manning, 2007; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Eliovson, 1990; iNaturalist; JSTOR).
