Description

Hermannia flammea flowers are dark red, but may occasionally be yellow. The five petals are twisted into a spiral and spread out at the tips around the narrow flower throat. Flowers occur in small clusters and are small, about 5 mm in diameter. The leaves are oblong to triangular with short petioles and may be toothed (Gledhill, 1981).
