Gibbaeum geminum is a mat-forming perennial succulent from the Little Karoo. The leaves are cylindrical, slightly keeled and thinner than some of the characteristic squat leaves of several other popular Gibbaeum species. The mature plant has a woody stem.
It grows and flowers in winter, rests through the hot, dry summer. Flowers are about 1 cm across and pink or violet with yellow centres. G. geminum flowers more generously than some of the other species in the genus (www.cactus-art.biz).
