Description

These Anacampseros papyracea subsp. namaensis branches appear rubbery as low rigidity resides in the hidden stems.

The imbricate stipules covering them are thin and papery, their tips well-rounded and regularly arranged as in pieces of jewellery. But people would want the substance to be more durable and sought after, maybe golden? Although this plant is less common in nature than gold.

Some stems have a greenish tinge. The tiny leaves hiding under the bracts are shy, but nevertheless active in photosynthesis through their covering.
