Image information

Description

The greenish yellow cyathia or false flowers of Euphorbia maleolens grow in cymes of up to four among the stem-tip leaves. From four to six bracts are present, dropping off later.

Stamens in the male flowers are about 4,5 mm long. The styles of the female flower are united at the base, the stigmas thick.

Flowering happens from spring to autumn (Germishuizen and Fabian, 1982; iNaturalist; JSTOR; http://www.llifle.com).
