Description

Profuse flowering will convince fynbos gardeners of the merit of Erica mammosa. It is one of the species commonly found in cultivation.

The plant needs acidic, sandy soil. Grown from seed, there is always the chance that colour variations may result. So, do not plant just one if there is space! The plants tend to grow slowly and last comparatively long (Baker and Oliver, 1967; Manning, 2009; www.plantzafrica.com).
