Crassula cultrata, in Afrikaans known as the plakkiebos (little slab bush), is a shrub of occasionally nearly 1 m when in bloom. The growth form entails much basal branching and an erect, spreading, even sprawling habit. Lower branches become woody.
The plant grows in the Little Karoo, the Eastern Province and some sites in southern KwaZulu-Natal. The habitat is clay soil scrub and rocky hillsides, sometimes in densely vegetated kloofs (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; JSTOR).
