Description

The nearly erect leaves of Cyrtanthus elatus are broadly strap-shaped with rounded tips, sometimes slightly channelled. The leaves grow in two opposing vertical rows, an arrangement referred to as distichous. The smooth blades are bright green.

From five to sixteen leaves are grown, their dimensions 22 cm to 35 cm long and 2 cm to 3 cm wide (Duncan, et al, 2016; Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
