Image information

Description

Red buds do occur on some Aloe knersvlakensis plants as on the unbranched raceme in picture. Some fruit capsules have formed below the open flowers. Sterile bracts are dry and papery, spaced along the flower stalk to fairly low down, where it turns green.

There is a row of white dots like an off-centre keel near the tip on the outside surface of some leaves. The rosette appears lush and strong for producing but one raceme. Maybe the dead leaf tips offer reason, excuse or alibi for the poor performance (www.cabdirect.org).
