The leaves of Chaenostoma revolutum are opposite and decussate. New tufts of smaller leaves grow from the axils. The dark green leaves are long, narrow and curving in with their margins rolled under and the leaf tips rounded. Tiny glandular hairs are present upon the leaf surfaces.
Some dry flower remains are also visible on longish stalks from some of the leaf axils (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010).
